Eligibility and Application

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and must have completed at least JAPN1013 or equivalent. Eligible students will be nominated to Komazawa University after the application deadline. Successful participants will be invited to complete the Komazawa application to be submitted directly to Komazawa University.

The tuition fee is $2,300 AUD. More information regarding fees can be found in the program brochure

Successful applicants must be prepared to pay the program fee by September 30. Payment details will be provided to successful applicants in mid-September. 

Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding. Students may also wish to apply for the Brisbane Homestay Komazawa Bursary through the School of Languages. 


Accommodation in local homestays is included in the program fee. More information regarding accommodation can be found in the program brochure.
