The Girton College, University of Cambridge, Economics Summer Program is an intense four-week academic summer programme targeted toward ambitious students in the fields of economics and politics the extraordinary opportunity who want to experience Cambridge student life in the context of a programme specifically designed for high-achieving students.

Girton College is one of the larger constituent colleges of the University of Cambridge. Founded in 1869, Girton is a vibrant community of scholars, from all walks of life, united in their passion for learning. The College’s beautiful buildings, excellent facilities and spacious grounds are located just outside the city centre, and Girton is well known for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere – the perfect place in which to meet like-minded students from around the world.

1 course = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units if 1 course is successfully completed (pending UQ faculty approval).

Cost

The program fee is approximately $7,600 AUD and includes tuition, accommodation, some meals, social activities, and day trips to London and Oxford. More information regarding program fees can be found on the host university website.

Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding. Applicants will be notified by mid-May if they are eligible for travel grants and scholarships awarded by the Global Experiences Team. Please do not rely on this funding to support your global experience.

Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding. Applicants will be notified by mid-May (for winter programs) or late-October (for summer programs) if they are eligible for grants and scholarships awarded by the Internships and Global Experiences Team. Please do not rely on this funding to support your experience.

Accommodation is arranged as part of the program. More information regarding accommodation can be found on the host university website.
