Yonsei University Winter Abroad
The Yonsei University Winter Abroad program provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about Korea through academic and cultural immersion.
Yonsei is regarded as South Korea’s top private university. Since its founding in 1885, the University has been synonymous with international education in Asia. The Sinchon area around the Yonsei campus is home to one of the most vibrant and exciting college districts in Seoul. Sinchon has a unique culture of its own and attracts youth from around the city and around the country.
Yonsei University offers a 3-week winter program at the Sinchon campus for international students who would like to enjoy the winter in Seoul. Yonsei University Winter Abroad focuses on academic achievement with various courses and provides opportunities to travel around Seoul and experience Korean culture; such as the DMZ tour, SKI trip, and Korean cooking class.

Credit Equivalent
3 Credits = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of 3 credits (pending UQ faculty approval).
Applicants are advised to submit 2-3 courses on their application for credit form for faculty assessment credit in case of course cancellation or changes.

Eligibility and Application
All applicants must meet the short-term experience eligibility criteria and any additional eligibility criteria set by Yonsei University.
Cost
The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad: The program fee is approximately AUD $1,600 - $1,900 for one course and an application fee of approximately AUD $120 will apply. Detailed information regarding program fees and inclusions can be found on the Yonsei Winter Abroad fees page.
Note an early bird discount applies to students who apply and pay before 10 October 2024.
Accommodation

Funding
New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant
Eligible students are guaranteed a New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant valued at $3,000 AUD when participating in this experience.
When you submit your application to the Internships and Global Experiences team, you are automatically considered. There is no additional application required. Applicants will need to submit supporting documentation (host acceptance, bank details) by the relevant deadline.
