University of Amsterdam Summer School

The University of Amsterdam Summer School offers high-quality and academically challenging programs that will introduce you to a new academic discipline or complement your existing studies.

Thanks to truly international classrooms, UvA brings together students from over 70 different countries every summer to one of the planet's most international cities.

As a key cultural and intellectual centre in Western Europe, Amsterdam provides an ideal environment for academic study. The city has all the advantages of a major metropolitan centre while retaining a cosy, small-scale feel. It is full of beautiful architecture, over 150 canals, museums, galleries, and many lovely parks.

    Eligibility and application

    Step 1: Apply to UQ

All applicants must meet the short-term experience eligibility criteria

We recommend applying to UQ first.  If you are seeking credit towards your UQ degree, you must first apply through UQ and obtain credit approval before submitting your application to your host university.

Step 2: Apply to the Host University

Once your UQ application has been deemed 'eligible' and credit has been approved (if applicable), you can then submit your host university application.

All applicants must meet the University of Amsterdam entry requirements

    Important

⚠ Students who intend to undertake this experience for credit are strongly recommended to submit their application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before the host deadline to allow sufficient time for faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note, however, that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.

Important: Some courses impact on UQ semester 2 dates. UQ students must meet the additional special conditions for programs that impact on teaching dates.
