Note: You may only attend 'in-person' courses on this experience as the mode of study for this experience is 'in-person'. Blended and online courses are not permitted.

Applicants are advised to submit 2-3 courses on their application for credit form for faculty assessment credit in case of course cancellation or changes.

Credit Equivalent

3 Credits = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of 3 credits over the 3-week session (pending UQ faculty approval). Maximum of 4 UQ Units upon successful completion of at least 6 credits (comprised of one 4-week course and one 3-week course) over the 4-week session (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and Application

All applicants must meet the short-term experience eligibility criteria and any additional eligibility criteria set by Korea University.

If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.

Cost

The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad, meaning you will pay tuition fees directly to the host.

The program fee is approximately AUD $1,900 - $3,200 depending on the number of courses taken, and an application fee of approximately AUD $100 will apply. A number of cultural activities are included as part of the program. Detailed information regarding program fees and inclusions can be found on the Korea University IWU fees webpage.

Note an early bird discount of approximately $100 AUD is available to students who apply and pay before 30 September 2026.

Accommodation

Accommodation in single or double on-campus dormitory housing can be arranged at an additional cost. Korea University also provides information about off-campus housing options on the host university website.
