When I was overseas, I met so many new people from all over the world and have made some long lasting friendships. Also experiencing a new country is always interesting and it was fun to explore all these new types of places and seeing more cultural sites.
Academic Development
The class I took over there was very hard but still manageable. I enjoyed the teaching style of my professor and it was nice to be taught by international professors.
Professional Development
Being overseas really helped me to develop my own independencies further, as living by yourself is one thing, but to do so abroad is a whole new experience that I really enjoyed and really impacted the way I think about normal things. I believe this experience has also definitely improved my employability as I believe having an international experience like this, helps me to get the edge over other applicants for jobs in my field.
Highlight
The highlight of my trip was visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace. Exploring the beautiful architecture, and wearing a traditional hanbok made the experience unforgettable. It provided a deep connection to Korean history and culture.
