Learn about Europe's business world with the WHU MBA European Summer Program at WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management.

The WHU MBA European Summer Program comprises a two-week course on 'The Changing Environment for International Business in Europe' on the attractive campus in Vallendar, located just outside of Koblenz in the valley of the Rhine River. The program is designed for MBA students of WHU's partner schools in their second year who are interested in International Business, Finance, and Corporate Strategy. As an alternative to an exchange semester, the program offers a targeted and compact insight into international business in Europe. It offers a well-balanced combination of lectures, group work, company visits, and cultural experiences.

The next program will take place in May 2026, and students may participate in one of two available sessions:
Session 1: May 06 to May 20, 2026 or Session 2: May 10 to May 22, 2026.

Credit Equivalent 

3 US Credits/6ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of the program (pending UQ faculty approval).

For BEL Students: This program has been approved for #2 credit towards an Unspecified MBA program elective.

Eligibility and Application

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience criteria and any additional eligibility criteria set by WHU.

Successful applicants will be nominated by the Global Experience team to the host university. Students will then be contacted by the host university for further instructions on the application.

Costs

The participation mode of this experience is Exchange. A program fee of approximately $860.00 AUD will apply.  More information regarding program fees can be found on the WHU website.

Accommodation 

Accommodation in a single room costs approximately between $750 AUD and $866 AUD for two weeks. More information regarding accommodation can be found on the host university website. 

Funding

Global Experiences Grants

When you submit your application for an experience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the Short-Term Experiences Funding page for details. 

OS-HELP Loan

You may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.
