Université Catholique de Lille Winter
The LILLE Winter program is a 2-to-3-week program, offering academic courses taught in English or in French, utilising the University’s expertise in Humanities, Social Sciences, Management, and more. Courses are taught by highly qualified faculty from the Université Catholique de Lille or visiting professors, with an aim to provide both theoretical background and practical learning through site visits and hands-on activities.
Complete with group dinners, local and regional tours, and opportunities to socialise with French students, the program emphasises the student experience as well as the cultural and intercultural aspects of academic learning. Lille is a vibrant and dynamic university city at the centre of Western Europe. With swift connections to Brussels (35 minutes), Paris (60 minutes), and London (80 minutes), Lille is perfect for students planning to visit and study Europe. And there is always much to see and do in Lille itself – a welcoming multicultural haven.

Credit Equivalent
8 ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units after successful completion of experience (pending UQ faculty approval). Students are required to undertake one morning and one afternoon class within this program.
Visa Information
It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct visa for the country where you will be studying. As the Global Experiences team is not a visa-issuing authority, we cannot provide visa advice.

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the standard UQ Student Eligibility Criteria and the Lille Winter program entry requirements.
If you intend to undertake your experience for credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to Global Experiences at least 4 weeks before applying to the host, to allow sufficient time for the Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however, that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.
Costs
The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad. The program fee is approximately $4,530 AUD.

Funding
Global Experiences Grants
When you submit your application for an experience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the Short-Term Experiences Funding page for details.
OS-HELP Loan
You may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.

Application Deadlines
OS-HELP loan applications open on 5 January each year.
OS-HELP loan applications can’t be accepted:
- any earlier than 6 months before the official start date of your overseas study
- any later than 3 months before the official end date of your overseas study.
