The June to July 2021, Humboldt University International Summer School will be offered virtually.

* This experience may require live attendance at lectures, webinars and group work sessions, at a time decided by the partner organisation. No special considerations will be extended to any successful applicant if an approved experience coincides with the commencement of Semester Two studies at UQ. Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is one of the leading higher educational institutions in Germany and is situated in the unique and historic city of Berlin.

During the semester breaks, the university offers an intensive online summer school program for students, which provides the opportunity to experience the german university culture.

Due to date restrictions, UQ students can only choose the following course:

Credit equivalent 

5 ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units after successful completion of experience (pending UQ faculty approval). 

Students from the below faculties may be eligible to receive credit for this experience:

  • BEL
  • HaSS
  • Science

The tuition fee is approximately $1,000 per course. More information regarding program fees please see the program information for the individual course listed under the program tab.


Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding. Applicants will be notified by mid-May (for winter programs) or late-October (for summer programs) if they are eligible for grants and scholarships awarded by the Internships and Global Experiences Team. Please do not rely on this funding to support your experience.
