Prague University of Economics and Business (Czech: Vysokà Škola Ekonomickà v Praze (VŠE)) is the biggest public university of economics in the Czech Republic. The Faculty of Business Administration is EQUIS accredited, placing it within the top 1% of business schools worldwide.

You will need a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.5 to study at Prague University of Economics and Business.

Study Options

Accommodation

Every student that applies for on-campus accommodation is provided with a place in a dormitory at Prague University of Economics and Business. If you are wanting to live outside of the University, Prague University of Economics and Businesse cannot help with searching for or arranging off-campus accommodation.

Cost of living

Prague is a relatively inexpensive city for students. The city has a highly integrated and connected public transport system, making it very easy to get around town. Page 4 of the Exchange program guide provides an estimated cost of living for students in Prague.

Financial support

A range of funding for student exchange including scholarships, grants and loans are available to UQ students.  

Insurance

Students approved to participate in a Semester-based Exchange are automatically covered by UQ’s Travel Insurance for the country of their host university only.

If you plan to travel outside of your host country, you should purchase additional insurance.

Students from non-EU countries, staying in the Czech Republic longer than 3 months, must acquire an insurance policy with a company licensed to operate the insurance in the territory of the Czech Republic.

Organise your visa

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct visa for the country where you will be studying. As the Global Experiences team is not a visa-issuing authority we cannot provide visa advice.

Prague University of Economics and Business provide visa and insurance information for incoming exchange students. 

Study in Prague also provides visa and immigration information for incoming exchange students.

Travel risk levels

The University of Queensland cannot and does not allow students to travel to any country with a risk level of 3 (Reconsider your need to travel) or above, as assessed by the Australian Government.

If a country's risk level changes to 3 or above, experiences to that country are suspended until the risk level improves.
