ESSEC Business School The Global Manager in Europe Summer Program

The ESSEC Business School "The Global Manager in Europe" Summer program brings together a select group of highly motivated MBA students to introduce them to current management issues in Europe through courses, conferences and cultural visits.

The module runs over a 3-week period and is designed for students interested in business and management practices in Europe as well as intercultural relations.

Credit Equivalent

8 ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of 8 ECTS (pending UQ faculty approval).

Visa Information

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct visa for the country where you will be studying. As the Global Experiences team is not a visa-issuing authority we cannot provide visa advice.

Eligibility and application

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria.

Session 2 impacts on UQ semester 2 dates, UQ students must meet the additional special conditions for programs that impact on teaching dates. 

Following the deadline, IGET will check your application and submit nominations to the host university.

The host university will review applications and notify all successful and unsuccessful students within 3 weeks. Please note that the selection process is competitive and an application does not guarantee a place in the program.

Costs

The participation mode of this experience is Exchange. Therefore, tuition is paid to UQ and can be deferred to HECS if eligible. 

A program fee of approximately $1300 AUD is to be paid to ESSEC (registration fee, administration fee, class activities and visits). More information regarding program fees can be found on the program module.

Accommodation

Funding

Internships and Global Experiences Grants

When you submit your application for an experience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the  Short-Term Experiences Funding  page for details. 

OS-HELP Loan

You may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.
