The ESSEC Business School "The Global Manager in Europe" Summer program brings together a select group of highly motivated MBA students and allows them to learn not only about current management issues in Europe from an academic and professional point of view, but also about some of the expertise of France and ESSEC.
The module runs over 3 weeks and is designed for students interested in business and management practices in Europe as well as intercultural relations. The campus is located in the heart of Paris's La Défense business district. Easily accessible, modern learning facilities, quick access, a wide range of dining options, shops and public transport. Everything is designed to offer a smooth, efficient learning experience.

8 ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of 8 ECTS (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term eligibility criteria and ESSEC Business School entry requirements. This experience is open to postgraduate MBA students only.
Application
Applicants must apply to the Global Experiences team by 27 February 2026 to be considered for this experience.
Successful applicants will be nominated by UQ to the ESSEC Business School Summer Program by 4 March 2026. Selected students will receive the application link via email from the ESSEC Business School Team after this, and will be required to submit an online registration to the host University directly by 9 March 2026.
It is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before the nomination deadline to allow sufficient time for faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note, however, that it is your responsibility to meet the host application and nomination deadlines.
Please note that the hosting university has the final say on application acceptance.
Costs
The participation mode of this experience is Exchange. Therefore, tuition is paid to UQ and can be deferred to HECS if eligible.
A program fee of approximately $1350 AUD is to be paid to ESSEC (registration fee, administration fee, class activities and visits). More information regarding program fees can be found on the program module.

OS-HELP Loan
You may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.

OS-HELP loan applications can’t be accepted:
- any earlier than 6 months before the official start date of your overseas study
- any later than 3 months before the official end date of your overseas study.
