The BABSEACLE Externship Clinic offers interns a hands-on opportunity to make a real contribution to helping people achieve access to justice while being involved in a remarkable experience of living and working in Asia.

The clinic emphasises on a number of key areas related to both helping others to achieve access to justice and personal social justice development

Credit equivalent 

Students will be enrolled in and receive credit for #2 UQ Units (LAWS5180) upon successful completion of the Externship. Maximum of 2 UQ Units for successful completion of the entire program (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria. Applicants will be selected on the basis of the BABSEACLE application and a Skype interview. 

In addition to the online application, applicants must complete the BABSEACLE Application Form and upload the document to your online application. Applications will not be assessed without the BABSEACLE Application Form.

Cost

Tuition is paid to UQ. Accommodation and administrative fees apply and are paid directly to BABSEACLE and are approximately $2,000AUD. More information regarding program fees can be found in the program flyer.

Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding.
