Waseda Summer Session
The Waseda Summer Session offers courses which cover a variety of interests. Students can take part in the courses which cover a variety of interests including business, culture, economics, history, literature, arts, politics and sociology in the contact of Japan and Asia.
The courses are taught in English by experienced faculty members from Waseda and visiting professors from top global universities.

Credit Equivalent
4 Waseda Credits = 2 UQ Units. Students are required to undertake 2 courses to receive 4 Waseda Credits. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of 4 Waseda Credits (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and Application
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and the Waseda entry requirements.
If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to IGET at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.

Cost
The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad. The program fee is approximately $1,600 - $6,700 AUD depending on the accommodation option chosen, and includes tuition for two courses and administrative fees.

Funding
New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant
Eligible students may be able to receive a New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant valued at $3,000 AUD when participating in this experience.
When you submit your application to the Internships and Global Experiences team, you are automatically considered. There is no additional application required. Applicants will need to submit supporting documentation (host acceptance, bank details) by the relevant deadline.

If you participate in a short-term program you may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.
