U21 HSG Summer School: 2024
The U21 HSG Summer School is an annual two-week interdisciplinary course for U21 Health Sciences Students that offers the unique opportunity of face-to-face learning and field trips located at a U21 HSG member university, which in 2024 is Fudan University.
The course provides students with the valuable experience of team-based learning opportunities that include workshops, presentations, lectures, self-directed learning and field trips on a theme of particular relevance to the Health Sciences.

Credit Equivalent
3 credits = 2 UQ units. Maximum of 2 UQ units if the course is successfully completed (pending UQ Faculty approval).

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and the U21 HSG Summer School program requirements.
This program is open to undergraduate and postgraduate Medicine and HABS* students only.
Please note that this is a selective program. Students must submit applications to UQ to express interest, and will be notified if they have been selected to participate by 1 March 2024.

Cost
The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad, meaning you pay tuition directly to the host. The program fee is approx $1200 AUD.

Funding
Internships and Global Experiences Grants
When you submit your application for an experience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the Short-Term Experiences Funding page for details.
OS-HELP Loan
You may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.
HABS students in undergraduate programs containing advanced level electives may be able to gain credit for this experience pending eligibility and faculty credit assessment:

- Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Sciences (Honours)
