PUCC Apacheta is a four-week Spanish language and cultural immersion experience that integrates Spanish courses with 10 seminars about doing business in Latin America and its cultural perspective.
You will improve your Spanish skills and fluency, and at the same time, you will learn from the local history, culture, and business aspects. You will become a specialist while you gain confidence in another language. The program aims for students to embrace and understand cultural diversity, across the Latin American market by understanding customs and communication patterns, while collaborating and navigating differences respectfully.

Credit equivalent
6 ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of 6 ECTS (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and the PUCC entry requirements.
This program impacts on UQ Semester 2 dates, UQ students must meet the additional special conditions for programs that impact teaching dates.
If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to IGET at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.
Cost
The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad. The program fee is approximately A$2,400 (USD 1600).

Accommodation
Accommodation is at an additional cost. Students are responsible for booking their own accommodation for their stay in Chile.
