Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences International Winter University: HESSEN
The Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences International Winter University is a three-week intensive program which runs during the winter.
An adventure you won't forget. The Hessen Universities are a unique opportunity to learn interactively with like-minded students.
The program combines lectures and seminars from professors with hands-on experience and lectures from practitioners during field trips in Germany. Participants will also have the chance to improve or start learning German in intensive German-as-a-Foreign-Language classes. The International Winter University Programme also aims to provide an insight into German life and culture. Therefore, the WUP team has a variety of activities prepared for all participants outside the classroom.

Credit Equivalent
6 ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units if 6 ECTS are successfully completed (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and Application
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and any additional eligibility criteria set by Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
Applicants must apply to the Internships and Global Experiences team by 24 September 2024 to be considered for this experience.
Applicants will be required to attach a HESSEN application form and attach it as an additional document as part of their application to UQ.
Successful applicants will be nominated to the host by UQ. Students will then be contacted by the host university for further application instructions.
Cost
The participation mode of this experience is Exchange. Therefore, tuition is paid to UQ and can be deferred to HECS if eligible. Program fees of approximately AUD $2100 apply to cover academic excursions and cultural activities, public transport and more.
