The Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences International Winter University is a three-week intensive program which runs during the winter
The program combines lectures and seminars from professors with hands-on experience and lectures of practitioners during field trips in Germany. Participants will also have the chance to improve or start learning German in intensive German-as-a-Foreign-Language classes. The International Winter University Programme also aims to provide an insight into German life and culture. Therefore, the WUP team has a variety of activities prepared for all participants outside the classroom.

Credit Equivalent
4 ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units if 4 ECTS are successfully completed (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and Application
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria. This is a competitive program and students must obtain credit in order to participate in this program. Students will be selected via an internal Global Experiences selection committee, as well as an internal Hessen evaluation.
If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to IGET at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.
Cost
Tuition is paid to UQ. Other program fees are paid to the host.
Internships and Global Experiences Grants
When you submit your application for an experience, you are considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the Short-Term Experiences Funding page for details.
Accommodation
Accommodation is arranged as part of the program and is at no additional cost. More information regarding accommodation can be found on the host university website.
