The Florence University of the Arts (FUA) is where you will spend your CIS Australia July in Florence program.

As a student in the Tuscan city of Florence, you will quickly feel like a local as you wander through busy piazzas in search of your favourite pasta trattoria! You can you spend 3 or 6 weeks in Florence while earning credit for 1 or 2 courses.

Credit Equivalent

3 credits = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 4 UQ Units if 6 credits are successfully completed across two sessions (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and the CIS Australia entry requirements. Students are required to at least have a 4.5 GPA to meet CIS entry requirements.

Session 4 impacts on UQ semester 2, 2023 dates. UQ students must meet the additional special conditions for programs that impact on teaching dates.

CIS Australia programs are highly competitive and fill up fast so be sure to get your application in as early as possible.

If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to IGET at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.

Costs

The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad. Program fees range from $6,999 - $8,999 AUD depending on the number of courses undertaken.
