World Endeavors: Intern Abroad
The mission of World Endeavors is to transform lives through international educational programs. World Endeavors provides meaningful internship programs locally, abroad and virtually for participants of all ages. Our programs are focused on immersive, hands-on learning, creating unique opportunities for cross-cultural understanding. Our passion is for providing transformative professional experiences rooted in active participation in concrete learning environments. Our goal is to be a catalyst for change in students’ lives, helping them make strong connections which lead them to a greater investment in the world as engaged and energized global citizens, equipped with the skills necessary to successfully transition from a student into the professional world.

Application Instructions
All applicants must meet the UQ Internship Eligibility Criteria and any other criteria as outlined by the host organisation. Students are required to apply to both UQ and World Endeavors via the buttons below.
Students will receive access to their Internships Workflow once their application is approved by the Internships and Global Experiences Team.
Costs & Inclusions
Program fee is approximately $6,000 - $11,140 AUD. More information regarding what is included in the program fee can be found on the host program website.
This cost includes:
- 30/40 hours per week
- Accomodation (Shared Apartment)
- 24/7 on the ground service
- Airport pick-up
- Placement service
- Comprehensive travel medical insurance
- Professional liability insurance
- 24/7 emergency travel assistance
- Career Readiness program
- Weekly resume workshops
- Interview coaching sessions
Funding
Funding is not guaranteed even if all selection criteria are met. Funding should not be a factor when developing your budget and should only be considered supplementary financial support if awarded.
Applicants will be considered for only one grant per application round.
Widening Participation Grant
When you submit your application for an internship, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the Short-Term Experiences Funding page for details.
Credit for Internships
Some students may be able to receive credit towards their UQ program pending faculty approval. The Internships and Global Experiences Team is unable to provide further advice regarding internships for credit. If you are interested in seeking credit, please refer to the Credit for Internships page for more specific details
