The event showcases some of UQ’s finest undergraduate and honours research projects through oral, poster and elevator pitch presentations.

The university-wide conference held during UQ's Annual Research Week is a great way to develop your communication skills, meet other students, and present your research project to the wider UQ community. Prizes will be awarded for best poster, oral and elevator pitch presentations, as well as people's choice awards and lucky door prizes for audience members.

Applications to present open 3 July - 11 August 2017.

Registration to attend is open to all staff, students, family, and colleagues.

    2017 Oral and Poster Presentations

    Date: Wednesday 13 September 2017 – Thursday 14 September 2017
    Time: 9am- 5pm
    Venue: Global Change Institute

    2017 Elevator Pitch Finals

    Date: Thursday 14 September 2017
    Time: 4pm- 5pm (followed by refreshments)
    Venue: Global Change Institute


    The following prizes are awarded at the event:

    • $500 for each of the three best oral presentations
    • $500 for each of the three best poster presentations
    • $500 for first place elevator pitch presentation and $250 for the People’s Choice
    • Gift cards awarded to People's Choice of the oral and poster presentations
    • Lucky door prizes
