UQ has a wide range of research projects available each year to suit many interests and disciplines, across a number of Schools, Institutes and Centres.

Project availability and the number of units participating differs each year. We recommend you visit the research unit's website via the listings below for more comprehensive information about the available projects, delivery mode and specific eligibility requirements that may exist. Details of the Unit Coordinator for each research unit are also available.

Projects that are currently being advertised are for the 2025 Summer Research Program. Projects for the 2025 Winter Research Program will only become available from March/April 2025.

2025 Summer Research Program
The program will run for six (6) weeks between 13 January - 21 February 2025.

Application period: 23 September - 13 October 2024.
You must have submitted an online application form by 11:59pm, 13 October 2024 to be considered for this program. Applications have now closed.

2025 Winter Research Program
The program will run for four (4) weeks between 30 June - 25 July 2025.

Application period: 24 March - 11 April 2025.
You must submit an online application form by 11:59pm, 11 April 2025 if you wish to be considered for this program.
