To enable scholars to get the most out of the experience, a suite of Events and Sessions are offered throughout the program.

Skills Training Sessions

As a research scholar you have exclusive access to skills training sessions that are designed to complement your research experience. Take some time to explore the training calendar in Studenthub and discuss which sessions you would like to attend with your supervisor.

Training topics will be offered as either self-paced modules, Zoom sessions, or face-to-face sessions at the St Lucia Campus (bookings are essential).

Welcome and Celebration Events

The program also features a Welcome and Celebration Event which provide a great opportunity to learn more about the program, celebrate your research contributions and network with like-minded peers.

Research Experience Welcome Event

This event will provide important information for scholars about their participation in the program, including presentations from a previous scholar and UQ supervisor. A Q&A session will also be available as part of this event.

Research Experience Showcase

This event will celebrate the achievements all scholars have made during the Research Experience Program. The event provides an opportunity for scholars across all research disciplines to showcase the research they have been involved in throughout the program. General information about completing the program and future opportunities are also addressed.
