Brisbane City Council Tertiary Work Experience program

Opportunity for Brisbane-based domestic and international tertiary students in various disciplines within Brisbane City Council. Council is regularly looking for students to apply for this wonderful opportunity, send a cover letter and resume to TertiaryWorkExperience@brisbane.qld.au outlining your industry of interest, when you can commence and how many days per week you are available.

GCH Learning Experience and Academic Placements Program (GCH LEAP)

This program provides a formal approach for GCH to host students in non-clinical internships and work experience placements across the Health Service.
The program targets students in non-clinical disciplines to find opportunities within Gold Coast Health Service to learn and develop their skills within their chosen field.
New opportunities pop up from time to time and are added as soon as it becomes available.

Internship opportunity with the United Nations

The United Nations internship programme internship is for a period of two to six months depending on the needs of each office. The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned.

Australian National Internships Program (ANIP)

Experience the heart of Australian policy-making and politics through a research project. ANIP internships are open to current undergraduate and postgraduate students from all academic disciplines.
In order to be eligible for this experience, applicants must receive credit toward their UQ degree.

Parliamentary Library Summer Research Scholarship

When offered, scholars work alongside specialist researchers in the Parliamentary Library in Canberra for a period of six weeks to produce a report on a topic of relevance to the Library’s research program.

Brisbane City Council 2024 International Internship Program

Open to domestic students with multicultural backgrounds, or international students from Brisbane's Sister Cities. This is an exclusive opportunity to gain four weeks of degree-related, paid work experience with local businesses aspiring to explore new opportunities.

Undergraduate Internships Programme by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore

Opportunity to gain insights into the life of a Foreign Service Officer in either the Functional and Corporate track or the Political and Economic track.

German Federal Foreign Office Internships

The German Federal Foreign Office is offering internships (6 weeks to 3 months) in Germany and its missions abroad for example Rio, New York or Accra (https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/de/karriere/praktika/praktika-node/praktikumausland-node). In order to be eligible for this experience, applicants must receive credit toward their degree programs.

Working in Queensland Module (WIQ)

This program made up of 4 modules that are designed to give you insight into working in some of Queensland's top industries. The modules will give you an understanding of the type of tasks you might be expected to undertake and the variety of diverse careers available in each industry.
