Searching for a new experience over your summer break?
Startups from across the state in Cairns, Toowoomba and Brisbane will host UQ students for four-week, in-person learning experiences! Or you can hop online and learn virtually alongside a Singaporean startup. For four-weeks you’ll gain first-hand knowledge on growing an early-stage business and embed yourself in a startup ecosystem to expand your networks and enhance your employability.

Experience the heart of Australian policy-making and politics through a research project. ANIP internships are open to current undergraduate and postgraduate students from all academic disciplines.
In order to be eligible for this experience, applicants must receive credit toward their UQ degree.
Open to domestic students with multicultural backgrounds, or international students from our Sister Cities. This is an exclusive opportunity to gain four weeks of degree related, paid work experience with local businesses aspiring to explore new opportunities.

Opportunity for Brisbane-based domestic and international tertiary students in various disciplines within Brisbane City Council.
The United Nations internship programme internship is for a period of two to six months depending on the needs of each office. The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned.
The German Federal Foreign Office is offering internships (6 weeks to 3 months) in Berlin and its missions abroad including the German Embassy Canberra and the Consulate General Sydney. In order to be eligible for this experience, applicants must receive credit toward their UQ degree.

An annual Global Talent Internship Program (GTI Program) aim to offers young talents an incredible opportunity to gain deeper understandings of Taiwan’s innovative science and technology development. The 2021 GTI program focus on the topics of Green Technology (Sustainability) and Biotechnology (Smart Healthcare).
Opportunity to gain insights into the life of a Foreign Service Officer in either the Functional and Corporate track or the Political and Economic track. Applications for next intake is due to be opened in December.

This program made up of 4 modules that are designed to give you insight into working in some of Queensland's top industries. The modules will give you an understanding of the type of tasks you might be expected to undertake and the variety of diverse careers available in each industry.
Interest in national security policy and are passionate about contributing their fresh ideas to Australia’s policy conversation? This week-long symposium will allow the strategy’s nationally sourced co-authors to test their ideas and build relationships with academics, industry figures, and policymakers in the national security space.
