Boston College, the first institution of higher education in the city of Boston, is today among the nation’s foremost universities. Known as “The Heights”, the university’s main campus has stunning Gothic architecture, a clear view of the Boston skyline, and easy access to the city’s amenities. Fun fact: Amy Poehler graduated from BC and was part of the College’s improv comedy troupe during her time there.

Boston is a city steeped in history, but is also home to many modern-day icons: The Red Sox, Fenway Park, Boston creams, and the Samuel Adams Brewery to name a few.

Cost of living

Boston is a relatively expensive city to live in. Information on average fees and living expenses can be found on BC's cost of attendance webpage. Keep in mind that exchange students do not pay tuition to the host institution.

Additional Mandatory Fees

Boston College has additional mandatory fees, of which the Health Services fee and Activities fee are applicable to all exchange students. These fees cannot be waived. Fees are listed on the BC's Tuition and Fees webpage. Fees listed may be for a full academic year, and may be less if attending for one semester.

Travel risk levels

The University of Queensland cannot and does not allow students to travel to any country with a risk level of 3 (Reconsider your need to travel) or above, as assessed by the Australian Government.

If a country's risk level changes to 3 or above, experiences to that country are suspended until the risk level improves.
