AustCham China - FESCO Internship Program
AustCham China runs unique programs for students from Australian universities and recent graduates which provide opportunities for work experience, mentoring and cultural training.
AustCham has partnered with FESCO (Beijing Foreign Enterprise Human Resources Service Co., Ltd), the leading HR services provider in China, to provide internship placement opportunities for students in a fortune 500 companies in China. AustCham China will facilitate linking the student with their placement company and overseeing the internship throughout its duration.

Note: For virtual internships students must have access to a personal computer, a reliable internet connection and must be available to be online during the host organisation’s local working hours for bi-weekly check-ins (twice per week) with your supervisor (mornings or evenings as mutually agreed in advance).
Application Instructions
All applicants must meet the UQ Internship Eligibility Criteria and any other criteria as outlined by the host organisation.
Students are required to apply to both UQ and AustCham China via the buttons below.

Students will receive access to their Internships Workflow once their application is approved by the Internships and Global Experiences Team.

Costs & Inclusions*
The program fee is AUD $750 for UQ students.
- An internship at FESCO Top 500 Member Company
- Orientation Day to the program
- Events and webinars designed to support your education, development and learning outcomes of your internship
- Mentorship check-ins and continued support from AustCham during your internship to provide guidance and assistance where required
Funding
Funding is not guaranteed even if all selection criteria are met. Funding should not be a factor when developing your budget and should only be considered supplementary financial support if awarded.
Applicants will be considered for only one grant per application round.
Internships and Global Experiences Grants
When you submit your application for an internship, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the Short-Term Experiences Funding page for details.
Credit for Internships
Some students may be able to receive credit towards their UQ program pending faculty approval. The Global Experiences Team is unable to provide further advice regarding internships for credit.
