Personal Development

I met people from different majors and learned some everyday Thai phrases. I also traveled in Chiang Mai and Bangkok and experienced authentic Thai food many times. The different cultures and experiences of visiting and studying have taught me to adapt quickly in new environments, and I am more courageous and confident than ever before in facing new environments and new things.

Professional Development

During my study in Thailand, I had the opportunity to interact with classmates and professors from different cultural backgrounds. This allowed me to improve my cross-cultural communication skills and better understand and respect the customs and perspectives of different cultures. And through the course, I mastered the basic theory and analysis of consumer behavior, and was able to understand and predict consumer needs and behavioral patterns. There are group discussions in the course, and by cooperating with my classmates, I learned how to communicate effectively in a team and complete tasks together. The cross-cultural exchange and international learning experiences have given me a broader global perspective, enabling me to work and communicate in an internationalized environment.

Funding

I spent about 2000 AUD on living expenses throughout my experience, of which renting an apartment accounted for the largest portion, 50%, followed by food and transportation, with travel accounting for a very small portion. My advice is to live in a place with convenient transportation to ensure your safety, rather than having to live near the school, you can have a deeper experience of the culture of different countries.

Highlight

I think it was the fact that I lived and studied in Thailand and not just traveled so that I could really get to know its culture and people, and I could see the good and the bad of the city and not just go through the motions like a tourist. I'm very thankful that this experience gave me the opportunity to live and study in a different country for a while longer, which I think was the best part.
