When do I need to post and enter the competition?
Deadline: Sunday 22 November 2026 at 11:59pm AEST.
What could I share?
Start your video with “My Employability Award, through my eyes…” and take it wherever your story leads. Here are some ideas to get you thinking:
The moments that mattered: An experience through work, volunteering or beyond the classroom that opened your eyes to something new.
Discovering what makes you, you: A strength, passion or value you've uncovered along the way.
Skills for your future: Something you've learned to do, or discovered you're capable of, that you're proud of.
Growing through challenges: A time you stepped outside your comfort zone and surprised yourself.
Dreaming bigger: How your experiences have shaped your confidence, ambitions or ideas about what's possible for your future.
Inspiring someone else: What would you say to another student who's thinking about starting their own Employability Award journey?
You can speak directly to camera, share a voiceover with your own footage or mix things up. There's no need for fancy editing or professional filming. We're looking for authentic stories told in your own way! Be yourself, share real moments and show us what the Employability Award means to you.
What makes an eligible submission?
To be eligible for a $50 Prezzee voucher, your submission must meet the following requirements:
Be a current Employability Award participant registered in the program at the time of submission, or recent Employability Awardee.
Be no longer than 60 seconds and begin with the words "My Employability Award, through my eyes…"
Share your genuine experience of the Employability Award.
Be your own original content, reflecting your experiences, ideas and voice.
Be suitable for a professional audience, with clear audio and visuals and respectful, appropriate content.
Respect others' privacy, ensuring no identifiable individuals appear or can be heard without their written consent.
No UQ branding, avoiding the use of UQ logos, branded graphics or other materials requiring official marketing approval.
How are vouchers awarded?
The first 25 eligible submissions will each receive a $50 Prezzee voucher.
From all eligible submissions, ten outstanding entries will also be selected to receive a $150 Prezzee voucher each.
Only one entry per student will be considered for prizes. Submissions that do not meet the eligibility requirements will not qualify for a voucher.
Remember: You don't need a polished production or an extraordinary achievement to be eligible. We're looking for authentic stories, thoughtful reflections and a willingness to share your journey.
