UQ Paralympic Internship Program: Be Part of Something Bigger

Are you a UQ student ready to make a real impact? Through UQ’s partnership with Paralympics Australia, you can gain valuable, hands-on experience while contributing to the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games.

Paralympics Australia supports athletes with disabilities and promotes equity, inclusion, and resilience through sport. As an intern, you'll be part of this mission, directly contributing to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, such as:

  • Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being
  • Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities
  • Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Internships are available in areas like marketing, communications, partnerships, and event management – where past UQ students have already made a meaningful impact.

Opportunities will be added on a rolling basis as they become available, so check back regularly to find the right fit for your skills and interests.

UQ is the Official Higher Education Partner of Paralympics Australia. Through this partnership, Paralympics Australia can host UQ students as interns in the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games – offering valuable learning experiences for students and access to top talent for the organisation.

  2. Once your application with Paralympics Australia is successful, you’ll need to accept the offer via StudentHub and submit the Unpaid Work Experience form via InPlace. 
  3. You can log this activity as part of the Employability Award.
  4. Credits for Internship: If you intend to count this internship towards academic credit for your degree, make sure to obtain approval from your Faculty before starting the placement.
  5. Contact Paralympics Australia for first day arrangements.
  6. Start your internship.
