Who are International Internships?

International Internships have been facilitating in-country and online internships for over 15 years, but we are always growing and changing as the environments in which we work to grow and change. We work with individual students, as well as educational institutions, commercial organisations and NGOs, to facilitate internships, study intensives, immersion and unit-based programs, along with providing career mentoring, professional skills development, cross-cultural communication and language training.

Virtual Mobility programs by International Internships offer amazing opportunities to work remotely with an Indonesian organisation, providing an experience that puts your skills into practice and can give you a solid edge in the employment market.

International Internships have a range of 6 week international internships from a number of fields.

Grants

When you submit an internship application, you are automatically considered for either:

(1) New Colombo Plan (NCP) Mobility Funding of AUD $2,000. To be considered for the New Colombo Plan Mobility Funding, you must meet the funding criteria. This includes approval from your faculty to receive credit for your experience, which must be confirmed no later than 8 November 2020.

(2) Virtual Short-term Experiences Grant of AUD $750. To be considered you must have uploaded your Host Organisation Acceptance Letter no later than 8 November 2020.

There is no additional application required.

If you have already submitted an application for the Employability Grant for your internship, you will receive an email to advise that your application will be withdrawn and that you may be considered for one of the above grants instead. Please note that you cannot receive two types of funding for the same experience.

Grants are limited and may be awarded by a selection committee on the basis of:

  • academic merit
  • academic progression as provided at the time of application
  • in consideration of other scholarships awarded to the student
  • applicants will be considered for only one grant from the Student Employability Centre per application round

This grant is not guaranteed even if all selection criteria are met.

Students who are due to graduate at the end of semester 2, 2020 will not be eligible for the Virtual Short-Term Experiences grant.
