Maastricht University (German: Universiteit Maastricht - UM) is the most international university in the Netherlands and is considered one of the best young universities in the world. Maastricht University School of Business and Economics has been awarded three prestigious accreditations, resulting in the “Triple Crown” achieved by only 1 per cent of business schools worldwide.
Maastricht is a wonderful city to live in. Exactly the right size, inviting city centre, historic buildings beside cutting-edge architecture and industrial heritage. The city is vibrant, not in the least thanks to the many students who call it home, and there are lots of things to do.

26 ECTS credits per semester at Maastricht University (School of Business and Economics) is equivalent to 8 UQ units.
Host university requirements
GPA
You will need a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.5 to study at Maastricht University (School of Business and Economics).
Study Options
Students can only study courses within the School of Business and Economics and must be majoring in Business or Economics at UQ to study at Maastricht University.
Other Requirements
Master's level students have to have a valid and relevant bachelor's degree (worth three years of relevant study).

Accommodation
The easiest way to find housing while studying at Maastricht University is through Maastricht Housing. Maastricht Housing is the official housing agency for Maastricht University and combines all the student housing offers in Maastricht. Students can use this service for a fee.

Insurance
Students approved to participate in a Semester-based Exchange are automatically covered by UQ’s Travel Insurance for the country of their host university only.

As a non-Dutch student, you are required to have adequate health insurance if you are living and studying in the Netherlands.

Travel risk levels
The University of Queensland cannot and does not allow students to travel to any country with a risk level of 3 (Reconsider your need to travel) or above, as assessed by the Australian Government.
If a country's risk level changes to 3 or above, experiences to that country are suspended until the risk level improves.
