The Tecnológico de Monterrey was founded by a group of Mexican entrepreneurs who made their dream of creating a cutting-edge educational institution come true. It is a private, non-profit institution which is independent from political and religious affiliations.
At Tecnológico de Monterrey’s campuses, which are strategically distributed all over Mexico, you can join more than 1,100 student groups and take advantage of a rich variety of cultural experiences.

Full-time study load
15 Tec credits per semester is equivalent to 8 UQ units.
Host university requirements
GPA
You will need a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.5 to study at Tec de Monterrey.
Language
Students may not be required to demonstrate any language proficiency, however, it is recommended students have:
- English: Equivalent to IELTS 6.5 for courses taught in English
- Spanish: Minimum level of B2 CEFR.
Semester Restrictions
Not available for exchange in UQ's Semester 1, 2023 due to travel advisory.
Study Options
Not applicable to this university. However, you will need to choose all courses from a single campus and indicate this on your application.

A range of funding for student exchange including scholarships, grants and loans are available to UQ students.
Insurance
Students approved to participate in a Semester-based Exchange are automatically covered by UQ’s Travel Insurance for the country of their host university only.

Travel risk levels
The University of Queensland cannot and does not allow students to travel to any country with a risk level of 3 (Reconsider your need to travel) or above, as assessed by the Australian Government.
If a country's risk level changes to 3 or above, experiences to that country are suspended until the risk level improves.
