Campuses
TU Berlin has multiple facilities spread throughout the city of Berlin. Its main campus is located in the Charlottenburg district, west of the city centre, between Kurfürstendamm and the new landmark of the city, the main station.

30 ECTS credits per semester at Technical University of Berlin is equivalent to 8 UQ units.
Host university requirements
GPA
You will need a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.5 to study at the Technical University of Berlin.
Language
Most lectures at TU Berlin are given in German. Exchange students are expected to provide a certificate for a completed B2 level German language skills course in order to study in German at TU Berlin. If students are able to find a full-time study load in English they are not required to provide proof of German language.

Not applicable to this university. However, you will usually be expected to take the majority of courses (60%) within a single faculty.

Accommodation
Only a very limited number of dormitory rooms are available for exchange students at TU Berlin. Students are encouraged to search for alternate private accommodation near the university instead. TU Berlin strongly suggests that you start searching for a room well in advance to commencing your exchange.
Cost of living
The cost of living in Berlin is relatively low compared to other capitals. Page 53 of the International Exchange Student Guide provides insight into the living expenses in Berlin.
Financial support
A range of funding for student exchange including scholarships, grants and loans are available to UQ students.
Students may consult the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to find further information on scholarship possibilities.
Insurance
Students approved to participate in a Semester-based Exchange are automatically covered by UQ’s Travel Insurance for the country of their host university only.

If you plan to travel outside of your host country, you should purchase additional insurance.
Students will be required to show that they have adequate health insurance in order to enrol at TU Berlin.

Travel risk levels
The University of Queensland cannot and does not allow students to travel to any country with a risk level of 3 (Reconsider your need to travel) or above, as assessed by the Australian Government.
If a country's risk level changes to 3 or above, experiences to that country are suspended until the risk level improves.
