Do I have to meet eligibility again if I want to apply for a future semester-based exchange?
Yes. Any student who applies for a future semester-based exchange will have their eligibility assessed after the application deadline.
What if I cannot move my UQ courses around or do not have 8 units remaining in my degree to fit an exchange in 2022, but I really want to study overseas?
If you do not have the required space remaining in your UQ program and can no longer fit in a semester-based exchange, we recommend looking at the Virtual Short-Term Global Experience options available in Summer 2020/21 and Winter 2021. Speak with your faculty to discuss your options.
I have been nominated for the NCP Scholarship, which requires a global experience. What are my options?
UQ will reach out to you to discuss your options.
I am a Bachelor of International Studies student who can’t go on exchange in 2021 because it has been cancelled. What am I supposed to do?
Bachelor of International Studies students may find it difficult to fit in a semester of exchange later in their degree. Please discuss this with your UQ Faculty (HASS) and see if they have any alternatives for you to explore (Short-term Global Experiences, Internships etc).
Can I participate in my exchange virtually?
Please check the Global Experience website over the coming months for more information on these opportunities.
