Employability Award | Leading with impact

This interactive session is for Employability Award students in executive roles across UQ clubs and societies. It explores how leadership experience aligns with Award criteria and employer expectations, with practical guidance on evidencing impact and strengthening reflection.

Activities include small group discussions to generate accessible volunteering strategies, guided reflection on leadership challenges, and structured peer networking to share insights and build connections.

By the end of the session, students will:

• recognise the value of their executive experience
• articulate impact and outcomes clearly
• identify strategies to enhance volunteering in their club
• build confidence in translating their skills for career contexts

The session also prepares students for the follow-up optional skill translation workshop.
