Over four weeks, you will connect with Careers team members, industry representatives and fellow students to enhance your career confidence.
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who attend at least three sessions of the program. The certificate can be used as one supplementary activity towards the Employability Award.
Full Program
When: Every Tuesday, 2 - 4 PM | 8 - 29 August 2023
Where: On Campus, St Lucia (no online mode available)
Program outline:
- Session 1: Professional Identity and professional branding. Create your unique value proposition. Develop your resume for an opportunity to be reviewed by industry representatives.
- Session 2: Career progression and experienced applications. Understand the employer's expectations for an application of an experienced applicant and have your resume reviewed by an industry representative.
- Session 3: Ventia and Transurban will facilitate a 'One-Hour Internship', where you can engage in a hands-on problem-solving activity. This opportunity allows you to develop essential skills, make valuable connections, and enjoy a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
- Session 4: Articulate your value, capabilities, and experience in a mock interview setting with industry representatives.
Note: This program is capped to a limited number of participants. Therefore, please ensure that you can commit to and attend every program session before you sign up.

Our Career Development Programs are designed to give you the support and guidance you need to feel confident in planning your career.
Careers 101 Program
A 4 week program offered in Semester 1, 2024 open to all students to help to get started in their career journey. The program seeks to support students to:
- Understand who they are as a professional and identify career pathway opportunities
- Learn about the job application process and how to effectively reflect on and articulate learning from experiences
Career Advancement Program
A more advanced program delivered over 4 weeks which seeks to support students to:
- Develop their career plan and strategies
- Enhance student capabilities and confidence in articulating their unique value proposition to prospective employers
This program will be offered in Semester 2, 2024 on the St Lucia Campus. More details to come!
How to join a program?
For Career Development Programs students are no longer required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and are welcome to book directly into the program.
