This session, hosted by Westpac Group’s Graduate Programs Team, will offer an insight into their annual Graduate and Summer Internship Programs and provide an overview of the end to end recruitment process, along with outlining some top tips and tricks in how to ‘ace’ an application! A Q&A style panel will also take place involving some current Graduate alumni who will offer insight into why they chose Westpac Group to kickstart their graduate careers and will be showcasing their experiences to date.

Stuart Doig
2018 Graduate
(Financial Markets & Treasury)

Stuart studied a Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Economics at UQ and joined Westpac Group as a Financial Markets & Treasury Graduate. His current role within the bank is an Associate within the Chief Investment Office. Westpac’s Chief Investment Office is tasked with managing the Bank’s interest rate and currency risk. As an associate trader in this team, he predominately trades front end interest rate products via future and swap markets. Given the international nature of Westpac’s operations, there are risks across different FX, interest rate and bond markets that require managing in their teams based in Sydney, New York, London and Singapore.

James Wibberley
2019 Graduate
(Finance & Accounting)

James graduated from UQ in 2018 with a Bachelor of Commerce with a dual major in Accounting and Finance. Since joining Westpac in February 2019, as part of the Finance and Accounting Grad program, he has rotated through three divisions and am currently in the Institutional performance team.

Imogen Rees
2020 Graduate
(Business Bank)

Imogen graduated from UQ in 2019 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and French) degree. She is a Business Bank Graduate and is currently in the Product – Savings & Investments team within Everyday Business Banking.
