My experience
For anyone thinking about a short-term exchange, I would highly recommend it! Spending a month in Santiago studying at La Universidad de los Andes was a wonderful way to learn about Chile and Latin America more generally. The GO UAndes program included a wide range of lectures topics spanning from literature to economics, politics, and innovation, offering insight into how these interface with the culture and customs in which they occur. With participating students originating from several countries, discussion topics drew global parallels and examples. I thoroughly enjoyed the cultural excursions in and around Santiago, as well as exploring further with other students outside of classes. While the accomplishment of being able to finish the month having a conversation with a taxi driver was a high point (albeit broken Spanish on my part), the friendships made will be the lasting memories.
