My experience
Over January and February 2017, I participated in short-term exchange to Cavilam in Vichy, a small town in the south of France. The opportunity to continue my French studies in France enabled me to dramatically improve all aspects of my language abilities. I was able to completely immerse myself in French culture by studying French at university for 5 days a week and by living with a host family who did not speak any English. Cavilam also hosts students from all over the world so we were required to use French as a common language. Not only did the continuous practise enable me to improve at an academic level, but also I now feel more confident in using my French, which I believe will help me to further improve as I continue my learning. I feel more motivated than ever and my ambitions to live overseas are heightened.
