My experience
Opening my eyes to other cultures & global needs is really important, hence I decided to take part in the summit. During my time there, I learnt so much about applying my knowledge to assisting others through a Human Centered Design approach; Stepping out of my comfort zone and talking to members of the community to understand them and their problems or needs. This person focused understanding will be so beneficial moving forward in my professional and personal life.
Highlight
The greatest memory from my time on the summit was the first time meeting our community. Despite the language barrier, everyone was so friendly and we were swiftly invited into their homes to share a cup of hot tea! Give the trip everything you have, don't hold back. Open up to your fellow summiters and the community, and experience everything the culture has to offer.
