Budget
I would say to save as much as you can before you go, but if you're short on funds you can live very cheaply in Thailand.
I used the funding to cover accomodation, food and transport which helped so much.
Highlight
Presenting my research to professionals in the field and giving insight into mechanisms for climate adaptation in SEA.

Say yes to every opportunity and make as many friends as possible
