Motivation

I wanted to participate in a global experience because I think it's a great opportunity to explore different places around the world and gain an insight on what student life feels like at different universities. I also think the experience helps enhance employability.

Personal Development

This experience has encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and try new things. During my experience, I met so many people from around the world and formed lifelong friendships. I had so much fun exploring the city with my friends and finding common ground. This experience has also taught me a great deal of independence. I had to figure out directions and transportation all by myself in a new city. Overall, this experience has shaped me into a more independent, confident, and capable person.

Professional Development

From this experience, I have developed a range of skills. Firstly, I have become more independent and resilient. I had to figure out everything all by myself in a new city. I found this to be immensely beneficial because in the workplace you are often expected to complete tasks efficiently on your own and you may encounter problems but it's important to be positive and resilient. I have also developed better problem-solving, time management, and interpersonal skills.
