The Zhejiang University Global Program is a three-week study-abroad program that offers academic and cultural experience to international students. 

The program extends beyond traditional academics, immersing students in a variety of activities designed to deepen their understanding of intercultural dialogue, Asian commercial practices, and engagement with local societies. It offers multifaceted advantages that enhance both the educational and personal growth of students, such as deep cultural engagement, allowing for a deep dive into a new culture. Students get to discover local places, assimilate new customs, traditions, and lifestyles.

Credit equivalent 

6 credits = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units after successful completion of experience (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and the host entry requirements

If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to GET at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.  

*Please note that BEL Students must submit 2-3 courses on their application for credit form for faculty credit assessment. All other applicants are also advised to submit 2-3 courses for assessment in case of course cancellation.

Cost

The participation mode of this experience is Study Abroad. The program fee is approximately $4,700 AUD for one course. Students are only permitted to undertake one course for credit. Detailed information regarding program fees and inclusions can be found on the host program website

Accommodation 

Students are responsible for booking their own accommodation for their stay in Zhejiang. Assistance may be provided by the host to book accommodation in a hotel within or near campus at an additional cost. More information regarding accommodation options can be found on the host university website.

OS-HELP Loan

You may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.
