University of Tubingen Winter School
The University of Tubingen Winter School short-term program offers students from all over the world a chance to study Europe and the European Union at the University of Tübingen, one of Germany’s universities in the “Excellent” class. Study in English, make friends & learn German at one of Germany's best universities while enjoying winter in the snow here in beautiful Tübingen!
Do not just learn about European societies - experience Europe up close on two different study tracks. Class sessions are highly interactive, intercultural and combine both traditional and innovative teaching styles, including field trips and field research conducted by you, the participants, yourselves.

Students are required to complete all courses from either Track A or Track B, a German language course and an intercultural workshop during this experience.
Credit Equivalent
4 ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of experience (pending UQ faculty approval). Students will not receive credit for the German Language course.

Eligibility and Application
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and any additional eligibility criteria set by Tubingen University.
Applicants must apply to the Internships and Global Experiences team by 24 September 2024 to be considered for this experience.
Successful applicants will be nominated to the host by UQ by 30 September 2024. Students will then be contacted by the host university for further application instructions.
Cost
The participation mode of this experience is Exchange. Therefore, tuition is paid to UQ and can be deferred to HECS if eligible. There is an additional program fee of approximately $2400 AUD. More information regarding fees can be found on the host university website.
Accommodation
Accommodation in a guest house, with a host family, in a student shared flat or student dorm is provided as part of the program fee. More information regarding accommodation can be found on the host university website.
