Gain a North American academic learning experience this summer at one of Canada's top 10 research universities at the University of Calgary International Summer Program!

The Calgary International Summer Program is a 4-week program for international students interested in visiting Canada during summer session.

UQ students are able to choose the Two Academic Course option: Academic courses taught by University of Calgary faculties. In these intensive programs, students will improve their English language skills, gain international academic experience, learn Canadian culture first-hand, and visit top destinations in and around Calgary.

Credit equivalent

1 course = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 4 UQ Units if 2 courses are successfully completed (pending UQ faculty approval).

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct visa for the country where you will be studying. As the Global Experience team is not a visa-issuing authority we cannot provide visa advice.

All applicants must meet the standard Short-term Global Experiences Student Eligibility Criteria and the University of Calgary entry requirements

The Program fee is approximately $5,300 AUD. More information regarding program fees can be found on the host university website

Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding. Applicants will be notified by mid-May if they are eligible for travel grants and scholarships awarded by the Global Experiences Team. Please do not rely on this funding to support your global experience.

If you participate in a short-term program you may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth supported student.
