The Lille European Summer Program (Session 2) is a four-week academic course for students who want to discover France and Europe. The program combines a variety of innovative, student-centred academic programs at the Université Catholique de Lille, tailored to suit different academic needs and schedules, and to provide a welcoming environment and an excellent study/life balance.

UQ Students are able to participate in Lille's European Summer Program 2 (ESP2). Find more information regarding specific courses on the host university website. 

Credit Equivalent

12 ECTS = 4 UQ Units. Maximum of 4 UQ Units after successful completion of experience (pending UQ faculty approval). 

12 ECTS for the full Lille's European Summer Program ESP2. Students may take two courses within this program: one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Visa Information

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct visa for the country where you will be studying. As the Global Experiences team is not a visa-issuing authority we cannot provide visa advice.

Eligibility and application

All applicants must meet the standard UQ Student Eligibility Criteria and the ESP entry requirements.

This program impacts on UQ semester 2 dates, UQ students must meet the additional special conditions for programs that impact on teaching dates.

Costs

The program fee is approximately $4,800 AUD and includes tuition, administration fees, accommodation, and some hospitality. More information regarding program fees can be found on the host university page. Discounts may be available for UQ students. 

Funding

Widening Participation Grant

Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding. Applicants will be notified by mid-May (for winter programs) or late-October (for summer programs) if they are eligible for grants and scholarships awarded by the Internships and Global Experiences Team. Please do not rely on this funding to support your experience.

Accommodation

Accommodation is included in the program fee. More information regarding accommodation can be found on the host university website

If you participate in a short-term program you may also be eligible to submit an application for an OS-HELP loan if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth supported student.
