International short programs are a great way to spend your break from university, gain an overseas experience without disrupting your course structure and you could get credit toward your degree. While overseas travel is currently restricted, Soochow University International Programs provide opportunities for students to gain important international experience through our virtual programs with students and faculty worldwide. You can develop practical, career-learning and intercultural experiences by taking advantage of Soochow University International programs.

Please note that Faculty have access to course profiles for the Soochow University International Summer Program: Online experience. You will not be required to submit course profiles with your application for this experience.  

Credit equivalent

3-4 credits = 2 UQ units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units after successful completion of experience (pending UQ faculty approval). 

Students may enrol in up to two courses during the program. Students are eligible to receive credit for a maximum of one course. 

Eligibility and application

All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience criteria and Soochow's entry requirements.

BEL students are required to have a minimum GPA of 6.0.

All other faculty students are required to have a minimum GPA of 4.5.

The program fee is approximately $4,090 - $5,940 AUD. Detailed information regarding program fees and inclusions can be found on the host program website

Funding

New Colombo Plan Virtual Mobility Grant 

A limited number of $2,000 AUD New Colombo Plan Virtual Mobility Grants are available for eligible  students.  

Widening Participation Grant

When you submit your application for an experience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the Short-Term Experiences Funding page for details.
