International short programs are a great way to spend your break from university, gain an overseas experience without disrupting your course structure and you could get credit toward your degree. While overseas travel is currently restricted, Soochow University International Programs provides opportunities for students to gain important international experience through our virtual programs with students and faculty worldwide. You can develop practical, career-learning and intercultural experiences by taking advantage of Soochow University International programs.

Summer 2020/2021 Short-term Global Experiences (Virtual Offerings)
Virtual short-term global experiences offered during the Summer 2020/2021 application round are only available on a not-for-credit basis. The Global Experiences Team will not be assessing applications for credit in this round.
UQ may have a range of available summer course offerings (external and internal mode) for you to enrol in over the end of year period. Should you have any questions, please contact your Faculty directly.
Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience criteria and Soochow's entry requirements. Students are required to have a minimum GPA of 4.5.
This is a competitive program and places are limited. An application does not guarantee participation.
Students will be selected by their faculty and will be selected on the basis of:
- GPA
- Previous program participation
- Eligibility for credit
Successful candidates will be notified after 15 October 2020
Costs and funding
The program fee varies depending on the number of courses and the time of application. Program fees range from $3,850 - $5,800 AUD. More information regarding program fees can be found on the host university website.
Applicants may also be eligible for UQ-specific funding. Applicants will be notified by late-October if they are eligible for grants and scholarships awarded by the Global Experiences Team. Please do not rely on this funding to support your global experience.
