The Projects Abroad Journalism Internship in Mongolia will expose you to different journalistic approaches and challenges against the backdrop of a new and exciting country.

With a proactive attitude and perseverance, you will be able to work as a journalist, with your own stories and responsibilities, reporting on events in a cultural context a world away from home. You will contribute content, not get the coffee; this is an opportunity to push yourself to become a full member of the team and learn the ins and outs of print or broadcast journalism overseas.

Experience

Join a Projects Abroad Journalism Internship in Mongolia and work closely with experienced journalists in radio, print, or television. You can choose to write for English publications, or get practical experience helping to produce shows at a radio or television station.

Our journalism internship in Mongolia is perfect for students interested in getting practical work experience and building their portfolios. During the placement, you’ll live with a host family in the nation’s capital of Ulaanbaatar. Weekends and evening are free to make the most of your time in Mongolia by exploring the country, meeting local people and building friendships with other interns.

This project accepts interns throughout the year, so you can join on the dates that suit you. You can stay from as little as two weeks. Projects Abroad encourage students to stay longer if possible so you can learn more and make a bigger impact.

More information regarding the internship program can be found on the host program website
