Projects Abroad has spent over 25 years helping volunteers and interns fulfil their potential and make the world a better place. All projects seek to add significant value to the environment, to local people and the organisations they support.

The Social Entrepreneurship and Micro-Finance Internship in Cambodia supports entrepreneurs in disadvantaged communities. You’ll work with our local staff to provide business training and interest-free loans to those wishing to expand their own small businesses.

Experience

There is a wide range of different activities you can get involved in on this internship, which gives you a well-rounded experience. These tasks include:

  • Interview and screen potential loan beneficiaries
  • Monitor and support current entrepreneurs with their business
  • Provide training for the current Micro-finance beneficiaries

Cost

The program fee varies depending on program length. For a 4-week internship, the program fee is approximately $4,855 AUD. More information regarding what is included in the program fee can be found on the host program website

Accommodation 

Housing is included in the program fee.

Credit for Internships

Some students may be able to receive credit towards their UQ program pending faculty approval. The Global Experiences Team is unable to provide further advice regarding internships for credit. If you are interested in seeking credit, please refer to the Credit for Internships page for more specific details.
